Alright that is good to know, I was worried about her getting stressed. Thanks!

Thanks I'll definitely do that instead of using tape

I did the double RBI for a while but didn't like how the snake would fall asleep between the two and get real cold. while that was probably ok for my own peace of mind I ended up stuffing the XL hide with extra moss and cork bark chunks.

I have the next size up hides from reptile basics ready to go, which are the medium hides: http://www.reptilebasics.com/medium-hide-box
However these hides seem to be a bit too big for her. They are kind of a big jump in size from the small hides to these medium hides, and these don't seem to hug her body the way the small hides did before she outgrew them. I would like to keep using the reptile basic hides because she seems to really like these; she has been an amazing eater since I have gotten her and has not skipped a single meal. But these medium hides just seem so big.
Those of you who use the hides from reptile basics, did any of you run into this issue? Do you think the medium sized hides are ok for her? I weighed her yesterday and she was about 260 grams.
I actually thought of taping her small hide onto the inside of her medium hide as a way to make it smaller, and this actually seemed to create the perfect sized hide for her; she seems to fit nice and snug in her medium hide now after i did this. Do you guys think this is a good idea?
Thanks in advance for your help! I really want to do my best to make her feel secure and happy
question, how long before he/she outgrew the small hide from RBI? I just bought 4 for me 2 baby BP's.
Thanks!!

Well how fast they grow really all depends on how much they eat. The breeder we got her from was slightly underfeeding her so she wouldn't grow as quickly since he didn't have a lot of space...seemed a little odd to me. She was four months old when we got her, and I'm sure if she had been on a better feeding schedule she would have been quite a bit bigger at four months old than she was. My husband and I have had her on a proper feeding schedule since we have gotten her and she is a fantastic eater! Once we switched her over from mice to rats she began growing very quickly. She is around 270 grams now, and it was at this point that she seemed to outgrow her small hides.
So how fast they outgrow their hides really depends a lot on how well they eat. If one of your babies ends up being a better eater than the other he/she will likely outgrow their small hide faster than the other baby. Hope this helps you out.

My little lesser girl just ends up pushing her aspen around and clears out the extra space.

Re: Hides from reptile basics
So I switched my ball python's hides to the medium sized ones a few days ago. I placed the small hides inside the medium hides to make the medium hides a bit smaller (no tape used). Yesterday was feeding day and she ate like a champ, no issues at all. Thanks for the tips everyone!
