Like Nikki asked, how were you previously quarantining?
Me personally, I feel you have a responsibility to your current collection to keep them safe. That means not exposing them to anything new snakes could carry to the point that if I simply could not qt in a separate room I wouldn't get anymore snakes until I could. It's just the responsible thing to do.
Qt in the same room, let alone right next to each other is pointless and dangerous. Far too much is airborne.
