Snakes are really starting to frustrate me..

So Last two years I have had to deal with Respiratory infections right around breeding time. This year proves to be no different.

I made a decision this year to move everything of mine over to my buddies place as he has had no issues with RI. So everything has since been moved over there and we are doing our quarantine at my place across town. I purchased a snake from a friend only to find out it was sick. Luckily It was in QT at the time. I let my buddy know and he made good on the deal by allowing me to keep the sick snake for free and giving me another non sick snake to make up for it.

He found out that another of his snakes was sick due to a heat tape failure. So he took his snake to the vet and they said Batryl was the way to go. He started treating about the same time that I did. His snakes have gotten better but mine are not. We are doing exactly the same thing. Then I find out another snake is sick at my partners house. I quickly move that snake over to my place to treat it.

Well the count keeps rising as I currently have 5 snakes at my house sick now. I have another at his place with RI, and I just had another die today that was sick. This is getting ridiculous. My buddy has no issues at his house which is why I moved my stuff over there. Now all the sudden the count is rising and I dont know what to do about it. I know its not temps or humidity causing this as my buddies stuff is fine.

    Any ideas?

Are you and your friends dropping your ambient temps for breeding season?

Multiple snakes getting sick and dying = not good. HAve you tried a necropsy? It will cost $$$ but if it saves your collection it could be worth it. Biggest thing, no animals should be going in or out of your home until you know what is going on.
