I took out a lot of the aspen and raised the cage so the heat cable could breathe. The prove says 91 but my temp gun pointing on the substrate says 80....

Is there anything else I can use to boost the temps?

I'm still wondering if I can put a uth on the outside top of the enclosure to help raise the temps inside. Right now I have a 75w black light in a dome fixture taped to the outside and it has raised the temps to what I need but I don't want to keep that taped to the outside. How can I raise my temps??

UTH's really don't do anything for air temps.

Can you post a picture of how your blacklight is attached?

Hey - may I suggest you do with your lamp what I did:

I drilled a hole to fit the light dome, and then drilled wire mesh underneath. My lamp dome now sits on top of that. It produces the perfect amount of heat now, as its low infrared and keeps temps high.
It's really the best move I made.

i ended up getting one of those new halogen light domes and red night halogen bulb. i still had to tape it to the back but it seems to be working well and is much smaller than the older dome light.
