LED light fixture to raise ambient temps

I am planning on getting some new proline cages after tbe new year but I have just dealt with my first RI and I do not want me or my daughter's snake to go through that ordeal again. My understanding is that neither UTH or RHP do much to raise the ambient temps but having a light fixture in the enclosure will likely help. Of course it will only help when it is running so my question is, does anybody nows of any LED lights that do not bother BPs too much so it can be left on at night? I have been keeping my room temps up to 78 and my temps are good right now but it is way too hot for me and my family to be comfortable and we would like to turn the temps down to 70 or so. Thanks for any input or tips you may have.

LED lights hardly produce any heat. I can't imagine they will raise the temp much if at all.

not so much the light itself but I was hoping that the ballast inside the fixture would produce some heat, at least enough to supplement the UTH and I am considering having a RHP as well.

... an rhp doesnt raise air temps but they do heat ojects underneath as well as the ground temp this in turn will heat the air around raising the ambient temp(kinda like the sun) , my room stays around 70 - 72 my rhp keeps my ambient temp at 83 give or take 1 degree.

Led's don't have a ballast either. why not try a heat panel or one of them ceramic heat bulbs.

Yes LEDs run in the high 90ºFs safe temps and enough if the enclosure is planned correctly to raise ambients. I hold 10º over the room with no issues. RHP (I own two) only work if there is thermal mass under them heavy objects to heat it seems to me a poor method and very inefficient when there are cheaper and easier options to explore first.

@kitedemom I see you have blue light, do you leave it on 24/7 or do you turn it off at times? Thanks.

It depends on the season. Summer I leave it off most of the time I usually have it set to be on for a few hours here and there. Fall it is on 12 hours and off 12 winter (in Nova scotia Canada it gets cold) I have it on 24/7 and spring I go back to a 12 on 12 off cycle. Ambients have a large range so greater precision is not needed the beauty of the system is they do not get super hot just warm so they really cannot over heat things.

I'm not 100% on this but I believe red would work as well. As I recall from physics classes since purple is beyond blue on the spectrum it should also work. Reptiles aren't bothered by the colors at the far ends of the light spectrum. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
