That's a very good question. We know that piebaldism is associated with abnormal neural crest development and in some species accompanies enteric disorders. The mutations we work with manifest as pattern and color anomalies, but we don't know if these are coupled with any systemic irregularities. So far, so good. Time will tell.
Even with time this will be very difficult information to get. Obvious problems like the spider wobble or the desert female oviduct restrictions took years to become public so it will take a lot of combo early deaths to become a public known issue. If there are problems I suppose it will all depend on exactly which genes and only apply to certain morphs or combos. So far my six month old 4 banger is doing great!
