Will keeping while light on all night cause any issues?
My room gets rather cold and with the winter weather coming in I need ways to keep the tank warm. I have 2 bulbs above the tank that get warm and do a great job bumping the internal temp of the tank while keeping humidity at good levels.
My question is will keeping the light running all night cause any problems? When she's in her hide she has enough shade to hide from the light.

Most creatures on this planet follow a circadian rhythm. http://www.nigms.nih.gov/Education/F...ianRhythms.htm
Having the light on 24/7 will likely disrupt that rhythm and is not at all recommended.
An easy solution is to get a heat emitter rather than using light emitting bulbs.

However, practical experience also says that only in rare instances will it make a difference. For most balls I suspect, and have proven myself, that it makes no difference, especially if there is a dark hide available.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

That's what I'm hoping for, it won't bother her as long as there's a dark hide. Well I will try it out and see if it affects her negatively in any way.

You could also buy a bulb like this. http://www.zilla-rules.com/products/...black-heat.htm I have one and it emits a soft light that's really dim.

I used to keep the lights on 24/7 in my tanks. Snakes didn't care at all. They would still only come out late in the day and when hungry and still hide most of the day!!!

You could use a "night time" light if your worried about it. Or a CHE (ceramic heat emitter)...

CHE's do not work very well inside PVC cages, so what is your set up look like, pvc cage, tank, other? I have been wondering the same thing too because I plan on getting some PVC cages but need to figure out how to raise the ambient temps.
