    Things New With OWAL

Website has gotten a few improvements, tables for other forums if you visit them andhttp://www.owalreptiles.com/genetics.php a new feature is the morph issue alert.

By checking it on, it will alert you if a potential offspring can have any issues.

Hovering over the link in the alert will bring up a short version of the issue and clinking on the link will go to a page for more information: http://www.owalreptiles.com/issues.php If anyone has more information to add, feel free to let me know.

The gallery now has a link to the 25 most recently submitted pictures, also laid out the table in a different way http://www.owalreptiles.com/gallery.php

We can now select by combo or just type them in, calculate complexes correctly, dominant traits are taken into account correctly, the ability to see possible het offspring, and now an alert if your babies might have other issues. Pictures are slowly rolling in. Most of these were requests from random people in the community. So my question is what else do you guys want to see?

App has also had an update, now have a homepage, results page is laid out a little nicer, color indicates pictures. Added a picture gallery and a picture submit. With the picture submit you can take a picture and upload it within the app, or just uploaded from your picture gallery. Still a work in progress.

Thank you for your services. It is always a pleasure checking out your site. If you find the time I could use a genetic calculator for rtb's lol.

My question is this. Why do you have Congo, Platty and Pin as dominant? Also why do you have the ones that you do for unproven dominant, such as Spider, Calico, Sugar or Woma?

You also have Superstripe twice on the double gene for male and female. The first one is the correct one it seems as it adds Superstripe and the 2nd one adds yellow belly.

To be a dominant gene, it has to look the same in the homozygous and heterozygous form. Congo, Daddy Gene, and Pinstripe are the only ones I have seen that fall under that definition. All the other "dominant" morphs we have not seen the homozygous form, all we know is they are not recessive. They are not proven dominant yet so I call them unproven dominant.

I removed whirlwind since they just call them spectors now (they used to be separated), I never removed the super stripe entry for the whirlwind/yellow belly, so it added yellowbelly part lol. Thank you, it's fixed.
