Beautiful snakes; and what an adorable little helper you have. I love it when kids have the opportunity to grow up with parents that keep such cool animals. I had to fight my parents as a kid, just to keep a few.
Canon T3i is a great camera, by the way. (suggestion.)
-Jen. Back in the hobby after a hiatus!
Ball pythons:

I agree on the adorable keeper. And I had to wait until I got my own place before I could get a snake. Mom is terrified of them and won't even go into the room where the majority of my small collection is kept.
The collection is growing:
1.0 Dumerils Boa (Khardeen), 0.1 Spider Ball Python (Charlotte), 0.1 Pastel Ball Python (Serenity), 1.1 Mojave Ball Python (Atreyu, Starr), 1.0 Black Pastel Ball python (Vader), 0.1 Enchi Champagne Ball Python (Monroe), 1.0 Enchi Ball Python (Apollo), 1.0 Citrus pastel yellowbelly ball python (Mellow Yellow), 1.1 Fire ball pythons (Fuego, Pele), 0.1 Pinstripe ball python (Vera), 1.0 Pastel Calico ball python (Monty the python), 1.0 X-Gene ball python (Wesley), 0.1 Butter X-Gene ball python (Buttercup), 0.1 Bumble Bee ball python (Honeycomb), 1.1 Red Blood Pythons (Armond, Mina), 1.1 Matrix Red Blood Python (no name, Trinity), 0.1 Splotched Sinaloan Milksnake (Lilith), 1.0 Albino Honduran Milksnake (Boros), 1.0 Desert Kingsnake (Crowley- King of Hell), 0.1 Banded Albino Kingsnake (Rhapsody)

I was permitted to keep all kinds of critters as a kid.Having that upbringing it was passed to my children and here my Grandchild..She wants to do EVERYTHING and I let her do all she can..This in turn makes her awesome in the fact she is learning and experiencing LIFE..
Someone on another forum said "thanks for making the next Tracy Barker" I had to chuckle at that but it could in fact be true..She helps in the rodent building, she gets to tong feed snakes and she cleans snakes as well..No fear because it has not been instilled in her..She makes quite a hit at a show, she'll walk up to a table and ask if she can hold that..I'll be doing my best to evolve this wonderful kid as well as pure Python Breitensteini..This is the definition of Proud and Happy..

Love the bloods! We finally got one (and we are big fans of yours!)
As far as the camera...I like Canon as well, and last year got the SX 40 HS. The only thing it doesn't have over the rebels is the SLR lens, but the 800mm equivalent super zoom more than makes up for it. I have yet to be disappointed in anything it does, from macros so close that it actually touches the lens, to the 140x zoom (on a tripod, of course). Simple enough to use as a point-and-shoot, but advanced enough for me to play with for hours on end. Absolutely love it! (I'd love to take some pics of one of your Oreo's, if we ever make it to OK )

Thank you, mikeandsheleen..
I'm familiar with the animal you have as it came from my bestest friend, the outlaw mafia..
I've not yet done any camera research, my son has a rebel ? which I'll borrow at some time..
Really would like something powerful so that we can get into the eye and display its intricacy as well as scale shots so close you can see texture..In time..Hope you'll are enjoying your new briet and that its just a start.
