    What to do?

Ok this is only my second breeding season so I'm not sure what to do in this situation. I have a girl who hit 1500g at the beginning the breeding season. She was paired and locked several times with one of my males. She has been off feed since mid September but is offered on a weekly basis, heck I've even tried different prey items and live, she has no interest in it. I know that she ins't gravid because I check my snakes on a daily basis and she never ovulated. My question is during her 4 month fast she has fallen to 1385 grams which I would take as acceptable as she hasn't eaten in so long. Do I keep pairing her at this point? Do I stop? Ugh the wonderful world of balls not wanting to eat!

That's a hard one for me to answer I have had girls go on a fast but I keep pairing and I know that wen they get close to ovulation they will snap back on feed on the other hand if I think my female is loosening to much weight and I've seen locks in the past ill stop she will determine if she wats to give eggs or not I know this isn't much help but that's just my 2 cent

this is a question that you're going to get both answers on. the best the I can tell you is. for me it's all in how she looks. weight to length. just because you're breeding her doesn't mean she'll lay soon. or she's even ready. she could possible go back on feed. without knowing her follicle size this is a hard one to answer.

This is where it's nice to know your females history and how she responds to breeding.
Some will restart eating and do fine, others won't and either won't go or will throw some slugs and hopefully some good eggs.
Good luck, I don't envy you, I hate when my adults go off feed too early, males or females.

The thing is she doesn't have a breeding history because this was the first year she was up to size.
