how often do you clean?

I spot clean as needed and full clean once a month.

To me a full clean means spotless and completely disinfected this is time consuming it is unlikely that it can be done quickly, at the fastest 15 min and likely longer (my rack takes me 4 hours to completely clean and disinfect.)


It appears that many have not read or follow the instructions on the disinfectant they choose, all I know of require the surfaces to be throughly washed scrubbed and rinsed before use of disinfectant then the surfaces must be saturated and kept saturated for the correct contact time.

Take the time to read and then follow the instructions. The only way to know if a disinfectant is to either follow the instructions or do cultures to insure you are making a significant reduction.

Even if you aren't reading the instructions, isn't it still better to use it than not at all? At least you're getting SOME of the little buggers. Some is better than none in my opinion.

Same could be said about people's hands. Some people either don't wash their hands or only use alcohol-based sanitizers. Really, you should be washing your hands for at least 10-20 seconds in hot water with firm friction and THEN use hand sanitizer on top...but really, at least washing with soap in cold water is better than not at all. Alright. Getting off my soapbox now.

we try to do our snakes weekly ( I got to try and get time to start some today since we been so busy planning the wedding and such for sunday(for friends and family) but tomorrow is the one she wants for the date.

but i try to clean the tubs and everything every week in somes cases i need to clean them 2-3 times a week. specially if someone sheds or manages to get the papertowels in the water bowl lol. it then wicks all the water out of the bowl and all over the tub bottom.

Exactly! Also as long as you don't see any germs it's clearly disinfected. I've definitely never seen any germs in my tubs so I know they're very clean.

It can be done very quickly if you already have clean tubs and bowls ready to go!!!

All of my dirty tubs get dry wiped...Rinsed with scolding hot water...Wiped again...Then sprayed with F10...They sit an appropriate amount of time with disinfectant and then get rinsed in hot water again...Then set out to air dry...
