Baby Color Predictions
I plan on getting a baby spider ball python at the upcoming January reptile show. I want one that gonna stay light once it gets older. I was wondering if there is anyway to look at a young ball python and predict the color it will be once its grown.

Spiders are brown, and stay brown, nothing bright about them unless you like bright brown

Ya I know but I've seen dark browns and some lighter almost tan brown. That's what I was wanting.

Then you want to look for a bright gold spider. And if you like it, one with high white sides for contrast. Darker spiders will just stay the same or get darker.

Thank you. The high white makes them more expensive right?

I gotta find some baby pics. The spider I bought was actually kinda dark. He's over 1100 grams now, and he's very bright .
Are you going to the pomona reptile supershow?? I'll be going there too .

Re: Baby Color Predictions
if the spider has fire with it, it will stay much lighter. there are combos out there for what you want.

I'm going to the Atlanta show and my budget for a snake is $300. I really love Bumblebees but $400- 500 seems too much.

You can find males at $300-350. Sometimes even less. Females are still around $400-500.
