I don't get the pricing on Dinkers
So I have been looking on fauna and see a lot of Dinkers going for $325 - $400. I don't get the price at all. You can find a lot of adult normal females for $75 - $125. Why the increase in cost just because the pattern is nicer or the colors are nicer? If it it turns out to be nothing but a bright regular is it worth the added cost?

You basically just said "I don't like to gamble". If you don't want to spend the extra $, by all means don't. Buy you may be into the next big thing. Who knows.

Re: I don't get the pricing on Dinkers
Dinkers are all about chasing new morphs. People will pay a lot for a dinker so that if it proves out, they get a new morph that will sell for loads of money (in theory). It's all a gamble and if it's just a nice normal then it doesn't pay for itself literally but if you like its unique look then some people think it's worth it.

It's a gamble and whether or not you're willing too is up to you. Some dinkers have proven to be genetic which is why there are so many projects and more people advertising some as such. While most are just pretty nice normals at the same time a nice bright, dark or clean normal can also pass that on and add to any other project. Picking what normal you choose to breed in your projects should be just as important as the morphs.
It is for me anyway

No risk, no reward right? Just didn't see it in the pricing. I guess if you have a some extra money to throw around for a what if then why not. I guess technically she could still pay for herself depending on what you throw at her.

Good point! So how many times do you breed before you realize that it is just a bright normal, or that you just don't have the right genetic trait being bred to her?

In some cases just once, depending on what you breed it to.
