My big normal gal who I've had since 08 stopped eating the weekend I put my enchi lesser with her (Oct 1st). Tonight she took down a rat . Is that a sign of something??

Normally it would be a sign......to keep breeding her. Females typically stop feeding around 30 days before ovulating, at which time they become gravid. In other words, no it is not a sign other than her being hungry.

Thanks for the info !

They can be silly during breeding season. Typically they will eat until they ovulate, so if she's eating it should mean she's not prego yet. Although I had a girl that ate all the way up to laying.
All of our females usually feed weekly during the breeding season. We had one female refuse today. She has been locked 6 times since the first week of September and appears to be "building". If she refuses again in the next two feedings we will mark her cage to watch for ovulation.
