    Terry Cullen Interview

An extensive interview with conservationist Terry Cullen has recently been uploaded, the first part of which can be seen here. It was recorded in the summer of 2010, not long after his facilities in Wisconsin were raided by the police and resulted in the deaths of numerous animals. As you may remember, Terry was later charged with both sexual assault and animal abuse.P lease find the time to hear what Terry has to say regarding reptiles, conservation, and the hardships he now faces. The viewer is also now able to take a tour of his Florida facility, see some truly spectacular animals, and get a good look at who Terry truly is and how he treats living things.

While the interview was recorded two years ago, it was only uploaded a few weeks ago after finally being salvaged from a defective hard drive.

Although it has been over two and a half years since the incident, Terry is still facing an unending legal battle and tremendous despair. Please remember to remain objective and to not rush to judgment or tofall into a pit of apathy. I have witnessed far too many people turn a blind eye to this matter when Terry could least afford it. It is our moral responsibility to learn about and understand an issue before forming a standpointor choosing not to have one at all. The travesties that damaged Terry’s life also threaten our community of animal lovers. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

While it is natural to feel empathy for claims of assault and animal abuse, we must all be careful to avoid immediately siding with the accuser and vilifying the accused. Such a procedure only allows for finger pointing to lead to dire consequences, as in this case, ripping apart the life of an innocent person.
