    Snake hook!

Is it worth having one, just in case you need to get your snake out and is afraid of being bit?

I'd say yes, you can get good one for pretty cheap. My take is better to have one and never need it then not having it and coming into a situation where it could help. I got one, used it a few times to get the basic handling skills and never touched it since but it's always on hand when I plan to open a tank/rack or handle a snake.

    No snake hook here.

When one of my bigger snakes is grumpy and I have to take it out and I know they are going to bite me I put on my leather/kevlar gloves I wear when motorcycling lol. Then I make sure one of my hands is closer to the head so they cant reach out and get me.

    Never been bit yet!

For bps, no hook. Even if they tag you it doesn't hurt. When my boas are grown, maybe. Will see how their attitudes are. For now, not needed at all.
