I use a long quarantine process at the very least 100 days.

    I would also suggest testing to eliminate potential issues fecal exam at the very least one but two is better every BM has evidence of parasites. Blood work this will show a handful of problems but also establishes a 'healthy' base line for the future. Personally I also have an IBD test done. This is one that I feel can shorten the quarantine period with out it I would suggest that 200-300 days would be prudent. This will vary depending on the history of the new animal, if it is coming from a person who you know well and who's collection you know and know there has been no deaths from in a long time perhaps shorter is fine if it is someone you do not have intimate knowledge of then a mid range and if there has been deaths and there is a question quarantine should be extended.

    Remember following the disinfecting instructions carefully and completely is the only effective way to be sure it is doing its job. Skipping steps will neutralizing the product before it kills the 'bugs'.

    General procedure is simple;
    remove as much material as possible,
    Scrub with soap/detergent and hot water,
    Rinse rinse rinse,
    Saturate with disinfectant keep it saturated for the complete contact time (F10 is ten min CHD/CHG is also ten there are others used that are 30 so if in doubt use 30 min contact time)
    Rinse if needed or mop up extra if not and complete the clean.

    F10 is a system, if it were me I would use the complete system not just the partial F10SC. (F10SCDX and F919 cleaner)

    tech info is here (f10)...
