The UTH itself should stay under 105 degrees at all times, but it needs to be set to whatever temperature yields an 88-92 degree hot spot inside the cage.
UTH's don't change the temperature of the air in the cage at all if the air temperature drops below 75 degrees you will need to use a heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter to boost the air temp.
