Haha congrats. I also find it funny how wives are the ones talking the husband into snakes. I have yet to meet a girl that's not afraid or hate snakes. But post pics of the new guy when you can

I do know a few women who hates snakes and have told me they won't come in the house, but they aren't close friends, so it's okay! My husband is not a reptile person but ... he's tolerant, and that's all I need! I PROMISED just one more. It's going to be hard, but I need to be content with 7 reptiles!

What I love is that my 4 kids are totally into them.

Posting a pic of us after we caught a wild garter: One kid is ornery cause she didn't get to hold it (she was offered but backed out).

We visited Royal Constrictor Designs, about a 3-hour drive. Our family originally went for a tour (my husband called to set it up!) but I told him ... we will probably be coming home with a pastel! We saw SO much (I'll have to make another post about that) and came home with this guy.

I always loved herps (especially after living in FL for a little while as a kid!) but wasn't allowed to get any pet with scales. I didn't really try to get mine into it, since we didn't get any until 2010, but I've always let them catch frogs and bugs and shown an interest in their finds.

Now that I have these pets, my mom has really come around and says she wouldn't be opposed to having a bearded dragon. Progress! Not that it matters, since I'm 30 and can get pets if I want to (and if my wonderful husband agrees, lol).

Congrats! I'm also blessed with a husband who, although not a huge snake person, is very understanding of the four new inmates in our asylum Shoot, he spent 40 minutes yesterday helping to get my recalcitrant male sand boa to eat!

Hello, and to BP.net. Snakes have the uncanny ability to weed out all but your closest friends...
