Glad you called a vet. I doubt it'll go away on it's own though. Don't mean to be negative - and I actually hope it will go away, but abscesses generally need an antibiotic to heal. Reptiles capsulize infection so an abscess can linger for a looong time before presenting other problems, but likewise, it won't go away readily on it's own either as the infection will remain enclosed and not break out as it would in a mammal.

Good luck with her and keep us posted!

Ok, got a buddy who has a close friend who's a vet. They had me open her mouth and I did, no redness, not open wounds and its not swollen in her mouth at all. They said that it was most likely from rubbing on her tub, so he's going to actually look at in person in Friday, and he's goi g to GIVE me some betrayal (sp?) and that should take care if it. I just hope he's not going to look at it and say it needs to be cut open and drained....but you gotta do what you gotta do!!!

Sounds good. At least you have a plan of action. Baytril is a good antibiotic and pretty effective with reptiles. Let us know how it turns out!

Ooooook, just left the vet, he pulled out some odd jelly like stuff, checked it out under the microscope and performed some tests and its bacteria. He gave me a syringe with a topical ointment to give everyday until its gone. So keep your fingers crossed that this takes care if the bump!!!!

No problem, I just figured you all who read this might want to know what happened!!!

I will get some pictures tomorrow after shes been left alone all day and night lol.

I got a little syringe that has a little tiny plastic applicator, I am supposed to insert it in the incision site and only put a small amount once every day until its all gone. I didn't get the name of it....wish I did, but maybe you or someone else may know what it is, or at least have a better idea than I.
