And if I buy a morph male unless it is something very very distinct how do you tell when the babies pip and crawl out rather or not they are that morph since there are only certain traits that determine the morph and patterns can vary
I would stay away from recessives unless you want to take babies from your clutches, raise them up, and then either breed them together or breed a daughter back to dad. If you want visual babies right away, stick to a codominant or dominant gene.

As for how to tell, you will just have to be able to distinguish between the two. For me, since it's really hard for me to tell the difference between the subtle morphs still, I plan on only breeding obvious morphs. I'm currently working with spiders and lessers. I'll be adding a pastave very soon.
