    Hi from a non-BP owner ...

I don't have a BP, but I'm really considering one. We have 1 bearded dragon (had him for over 2 years, got as a baby), 4 corn snakes (got in August of this year), 1 leopard gecko (baby, my son bought him yesterday!) ... and there is a pastel BP that I've been considering but I'm on the fence! If my husband would reluctantly agree, I'd be over the fence and purchasing the setup, lol.

Other than that, I've always been a reptile lover but wasn't allowed to have them as a kid, so now that I have 4 kids of my own, I have reptiles! All of my kids seem to share my affinity for scaly creatures, which is great. They are ages 11 to almost 5.

I am going to lurk here and learn some things.

Hi! I am a non-BP owner, as well. Getting my set-up ready little by little. I am also considering a Pastel, but the more I think about it I may just go with an awesome Normal. If I had the dough, I'd love me a Pied or Clown, tho! Only really plan (and have room) for 1 snake. Gonna keep it simple. This site is awesome! Learning so much, everyday! Welcome!

Welcome! I started as a non-owner, just looking for good information. Now, 4.5 months later, I have 4 and can't wait to get more! It's really...REALLY addicting...so, be careful Check out all the stickies in the Ball Python sections, they are filled with tons of useful information! Also you can lose hours / days browsing morph and morph combo's (and playing with the genetics calculator) at www.worldofballpythons.com !

    Again, Welcome to BP.net!

Thank you all for the welcome!!!

I know that I got 1 corn snake and then within 2 weeks I was planning for more, and ended up placing an order for 3 more that I just HAD to have! My husband isn't a reptile person, though he's very tolerant of what we do have. I know he'd prefer not to have more at this point though! They are so addicting!

Welcome I am COMPLETELY new to the world of snakes, and started my adventure with my ball. After only one week, I am hooked. This forum is loaded with experience and knowledge.

Hello and welcome! I'm also a non-BP owner, at this time. I have 2 rosy boas and a desert tortoise (as far as herps are concerned). I had been working on my husband though, and a couple weeks ago he finally agreed to letting me get a ball python! We are just waiting until he finds a job (recently discharged from the active army). So I'll send some "let's get a BP" vibes your way, and maybe your husband will give in too!
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Hi there and welcome! I joined as a "Non BP But Looking" person, and now have two ball pythons in addition to our two Kenyan sand boas and assorted furry folks. People here are great, and there's awesome information available!

Welcome aboard! We started years ago with just one corn snake and that love of reptiles has only grown. We now raise and breed mostly ball pythons and corns. Good luck and welcome to the addiction.

Welcome aboard. Good luck on your research and your first(when you get it).

Anyone taking bets on when the first bp is acquired?

Sidenote: amazed at how many women I hear are talking their husbands into getting new herps.
