Switching from asfs to rats?
Does anyone have a trick to switch a ball from asfs to rats

Yes, just start feeding rats. I switch back and forth all the time depending upon how my rodent breeding is going. Haven't had a problem yet switching. If you are really having an issue, try putting the rat on soiled bedding from ASFs for a half hour or so before feeding. That will scent the rat with the ASF smell.

Same as switching from mice to rats, or any other combination. Scent the rat with the ASF and offer. If he/she doesn't take it, try again next week. Once he's eaten a few scented rats, stop scenting. Assuming this is a BP with a couple of hundred grams on it, tough love will almost always win out.
Geez, Don, I need to type faster! ;-)
