    Better pic of Carpets

    I am assuming that they are Coastal.

    I've got them eating rat pinks now. Both the pics are of the one as the other one is now in blue. They do have an excellent feeding response, even while preparing for a shed.

    Does anyone have a scale count for probing? I would like to verify them to be females in the future.

    It looks great. The yellow is coming in nicely.

    I don't have a scale count, but I had a breeder probe my tiny one and it went in 4-5 scales so they said it was most likely female. From that I can only gather that the counts are similar to ball pythons.

    good ooking little snake. i love my carpet. i am becoming quite a fan of the carpets. mine is quickly taking over as my fav herp in my collection. i dont breed but if i ever decide to go that route i think i would lean towards morelia....

    If you just now have them eating rat pinks, they might be hungry. I think most feed rat pinks as a first meal and they move up pretty quick.
