    New hatchling rack

Built this rack yesterday out of one 4x8 sheet of 1/4 inch expanded pvc. It holds 18 6qt sterelite containers. Its heated with a strip of 11 inch flexwatt run down the back and controlled by a ve-300 thermostat. Its sitting beside an RBI sweaterbox rack (32qt) for size comparison

Nice job! I really like the VE tstats, I have three myself and they are great. Is the rack fully closed on the sides?

thanks. I paid around $55 for the sheet of plastic. Then a few bucks for a box of 1/2 in screws and a tube of superglue. I ended up getting the pvc from a plastic supply place not even ten minutes away from my house. I thought it would be hard to find but it was actually pretty easy. I ended up only having to call one sign shop looking for it and they didnt have any on hand but gave me the number to the place that they got it from.

How is the 1/4" structurally? I have a few sheets of 1/4" I got from work that they were throwing out. I was thinking of making a 28qt rack out of it. I was going to start with another hatchling rack with it first.

It's pretty solid with the 6 qt tubs. You could probably get away with it doing a single wide 28 qt stack but I wouldn't try anything bigger
