Black Ops 2 verdicts

Alright guys, lots of Call of Duty fans out there, and I know a lot of you already picked up the game while others are waiting for christmas, snakes to sell, or the science to break through where yes you can sell that second kidney of years just to go buy the latest call of duty fashion gear.

So here we go this is an open poll to help people see what's going on with the games, and I also want to open it up for discussion on what you like and what you dislike. Let's keep it clean and fun, and don't start complaining about all the modded controllers out there, or campers that will never get out of their tents. I want to focus on things like:
- Spawns
- Weapons
- Custom Classes (new system, after all)
- Campagne (he plays that really?)
- ZOMBIES (if you play them)
- Competition
- Kill Streaks
- Game types

So let's help people from spending that money if they don't have to, or maybe they'll be slightly better this holiday season so santa will bring them a stocking full of Call of Duty! I'll post my thoughts in a comment after.

Overall it is not that bad. Spawns on multiplayer could be a little better, just finished a game of denomination and i spawned on C and the enemy spawned right next to me and knifed me. The guns seem decent, i like how it doesn't cost you a full clip to kill one guy like previous COD games did. Did not play campaign yet waiting for the Gf to go visit family so i can play and finish it in less than one day. I do,and don;t like the kill streak idea, where it is based on xp, compared to kills, sometimes it is good other times it sucks depends on game type.Overall i give it 8/10, somethings could be better, and other things i like. But my mind might change after i get to play it a little more(being a bio major you do not have much free time for COD)

I gave it some time before I posted so that it would not just add it into the original post. My verdict is that you should get this game if your a fan of the franchise, or just wanting to test the waters and see how the franchise is.

This is not Modern Warfare 563623bc, this is Black Ops2 and stands on its own in the Call of Duty Genera. I am pleasently pleased with the atmosphere given by the game, bringing it just enough into the future that things are different but feel right at home all at the same time. I feel there are many pros and cons to be waived in this game, but the better part of the questiobn for me is, tell me about multiplayer. That is where these games shine right?

Yes, for most, no for some. If you get this game with only the single player in mind, you will have a good time for about 8 hours, then be done with the game and sheckle out the next $60 for whatever comes to your want list and rinse and repeat. Multiplayer is the genera's baby. It is where the replay value comes from. Not saying that campagne is bad, I am saying it's short :-), but still worth playing if you're a fan of the Single Player portion of the franchise - HOWEVER - I would advise you wait for the price drops to occur in about 4 months if you plan on only playing the single player.

The new load out options is pretty intense and I have to say I'm a HUGE fan, no longer needing to put a secondary in my load out? I can now just run and pick up someones gun after I kill them and use that secondary spot as a new item?? How about I just use an SMG with rapid fire and 6 perks, yes 6 perks. This can ALMOST be done (I thnk you have to have just a single primary weapon and then you can have 6 perks). None the less, it gives the power to the player to focus on the things you use, and ignore the things you do not. You can opt to have no flash bangs, or 2, no grenades to get an extra scope on a secondary weapon, or grenades. This will help level the playing field for players who know how their loadouts work, however, without fully trying to customize your load out, you may suffer.

Respawns on this game are very weak for free for all - it was hard to get in matches where if you got on a dying streak you would instantly spawn behind or in front of an enemy and without quick reflexes find yourself in a death cycle constantly dying and reviving. In any team based mode this was not the case. But be warned for free for all.

Graphically the game is sound, and looks fantastic in 3D (playing on a 47" LG 3D Cineview). The audio is done well, and I can appreciate the suttle clears on where to find people shooting surpressed guns. Using headphones with this game on multiplayer is not a must, but it will give you a very strong competetive edge.

All in all this is pretty brief for what they can be, this game is 9/10 in my books. Yes it's another call of duty, yes this means that more servers will go down for previous editions, but honestly, if you bought MW3, and Black ops, you'll buy Black Ops 2 regardless of what the media says.

over all the game is good worth my money. the only thing i dislike was the zombies.

I like the game but i dont like the knifing or the fact you cant seem to get away from getting shot like in previous games but overall its good. I like zombies because there is more going on

Major dislikes:
Hunter killer drone
Guardian
Shock charges
Claymore/bouncing betty

I also diskike their map theory so far. They're going for smaller maps. They made nuketown a medium sized map. I play TDM mostly, but now I play objective modes. That's the only time I have fun and find a lot of action. The game in general feels slower paced.

I dislike how you must play to max level to unlock ghost. It makes UAVs super powerful.

Comparing it to black ops 1, I think blops 1 was better.

I wasn't the biggest fan of BO2 right away like I was with past COD's, I was really enjoying halo 4 and just didn't get a good feel for BO2. That being said it has grown on my a lot as I have played more. I really like the pick ten system and a lot of the weapons you unlock as you progress. I think they really did a great job with this one, even the campaign was actually worth the sticker price. Now I know this is a a tiny detail but its one I have been wanting for a while and that is better more upbeat music in the menus. Finally they have music to get you pumped up to go play some multiplayer. So my thoughts so far is this is defiantly a game to pick up not to mention we have all the map packs to look forward to.

You know, one of my complaints is about the sound - the soundFX during multiplayer that sounds like the old fx in the game HOVER when your streaking maybe? it sounds like a power door opening and closing. . . everytime I hear it though I think of the game hover. Agreed though, I was very iffy at first, especially since the release of SWAT in halo 4, but its grown on me quick after I realized my mistakes in the pick 10 system.

You're referring to the drone and the guardian right? The drone is annoying. They're easy to get so there's at least 10 enemy drones in the sky every game. I hate spawning and getting blown up not even 2 seconds after walking.
The guardian can be OP because each player can place 2 on the map. Play a game like CTF or another mode where you're expected to run a certain path, and youncan shut down routes. You can't knife them, and some weapons require you to put 2 clips into them to destroy them. Pro tip: create a class with emp grenades and engineer to avoid all those stupid mines.

Having shock charges, claymores, and bettys is overkill. People just run scavenger and place them in little pockets of paths, then continue to place them once it's gone. I don't know why they went back to allowing scavenger to pick up mines. You could run 3 perks to avoid them, engineer, tactical mask, and the wildcard, but you lose out on dexterity. Pro tip: If yu want to stop losing those fights where you get shot as soon as you turn a corner, run dexterity and laser sights to be able to counter attack.

I do like a few things lol. The bad just outweigh the good right now . you can check my gamertag on elite. It's h00blah
