I take some personal pride in this...

So last night I got more than three hours of continued sleep (A few minutes shy of seven I think???) which may not be a big deal to a lot of people but I was diagnosed with chronic insomnia at the beginning of the year so it really isn't that often I can sleep through most of the night without having to randomly wake up for a couple of hours.
Just wanted to share my triumph.

Not many things worse than not being able to sleep when you want to sleep and you know you NEED TO SLEEP! Happy to hear of your triumph!

Most definitely. I know a lot of people who think insomnia is some kind of blessing ("Oh, you get to stay up all night and do whatever you want without getting tired, awesome!") but holy hell, I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.
    And thanks!

Oh man, I feel for you. I've finally gotten my insomnia under control with a fairly heavy dose of trazedone. It took me four years to find something that worked, and I got about two hours of sleep a night, and I would just randomly crash during the day. I really hope that you find something that works for you. Just a thought, have you been tested for sleep apnea? I hear that causes a lot of problems.

Wow that would suck! I couldn't imagine not being able to sleep. I suffer from the opposite since I have hypothyroidism. Just last week I slept from 10pm till 5pm the next day (and went back to bed at 10pm)... I didn't go to work and was completely worthless. I HATE sleeping away my life I don't normally let myself do that, I do my best to never take naps because that's what will happen to me. No matter how much I sleep I'm still tired. We need to share our health issues with each other

I hope you get more sleep soon!!!
