    They're still active when they're young. I let my young ones out and about to run until they've calmed down, then once they've got it out of their system you can go and pick them up. They're not cats and dogs that are content to sit on your lap- they want to explore first, sit and nap later. Once they go looking for a corner to shove their head in you should have an easy time getting them. At about a year and a half my female started to calm down more. It takes time and patience!

    Also just noticed you've only had him for a week and a half. Of course he's nervous. You should at least wait 1-2 weeks before trying to handle, otherwise it stresses them out more than they already are just from moving homes. Give it some time! Start by just letting him out, the. Gradually escalate that to handling. The time scale should be a few months to finally reach full handling, not a few days.
