I used to be in the Sea Scouts (part of the Boy Scout Venture program, it's a co-ed organization that specializes in sailing/boating/water-related stuff), and I know I used to hold my breath when the new kids would get to steer the boats by docks/other boats. Boats aren't really known for their "turn and stop on a dime" capabilities...
Nothing like putting the siderails underwater when you catch some great wind though.
