"Sake Rack" Ventilation?
So I'm putting together a shelving unit with tubs.
All the tubs are bought but I need to figure out, do the tubs need vent holes?
How would I make them where the baby corns can't fit through them?
Thanks

How are you heating the tubs?
And yes, they need vent holes. Use a soldering iron with a small tip.

I use chrome racks for my snakes and heat cables and pads. I just poke holes through the plastic. I'd be careful and tape down those smallest sterilite bins though. I've had corns sneak out the sides of them. They don't lock down all the way. If I use those I tape the ones on top of the stack or weigh them down.
You can get a heat knife for 15$ and poke some holes, or you can use a lighter on an old butter knife/ screwdriver to get it hot enough to melt a hole into the plastic. I've never found it worth it to get fancy equipment for a simple task. By fancy, I mean Powertools.

Thanks!
Those seems to be really good small bins. They're not made by sterilite so maybe they're just better in that sense, but I will keep an eye. I don't think a baby (hatchling) corn could get out, but it's possible something a little larger could.
I'm doing whole room heating so I don't have to deal with heating that stack of tubs plus the other side of the room, which are wooden showcase enclosures. Much easier

A baby corn can indeed get out of those bins, I've had it happen.
You don't need a fancy tool, a soldering iron is less than $15 and you can use it again and again. Seriously, one of the best tools I've bought for the reptile room!
