My partner, Ari, just got back from playing it at a special pre-release party. FPS games are not his forte, so he 'got fragged repeatedly' in his own words, but he says the levels were really cool and it has quite good graphics.  He tends to notice mechanics first, as he has a degree in game design.
Of the new games, he says he wishes to play Assassin's Creed 3 (which does look pretty cool), and Kingdoms of Amalur...and he wants Soul Calibur 5 mostly for the character building.
Not many new games I'm too interested in... but I can't wait for next month to see The Hobbit!
