Breeding question

Im breeding my male bumblebee with 2 normal females. He has locked up with each one of them. I gave him 7 days rest and put him back in with female #1 for 2 days and he shows no interest in her so I put him in with female #2 and he shows no interest in her as well. What can I do? Thanks for any help.

I would just leave him in there for a couple days and see if anything happens. Since you probably aren't watching them 24/7 there might be copulation while you are not there. Many people get clutches without observing a lock.

I have an albino male that i was really looking forward to breeding (trying to prove something out) and never saw him lock. His 2 girls weren't paired with anything else and I got 2 clutches. Sneaky little ninja Just keep pairing and good luck.

You could not introduce him so often or so soon. I'll only put a male in every 2-3 weeks. Absence makes the heart grow fonder they say seriously though this happens all the time when I introduce again too soon. They lose interest. They really only need 1 lock a month, more is better but you know...

Just stick to a schedule. I used 3 days in, 4 days out for my males that had at least 3 females that they were paired with. I had 1 male that I was only pairing to 1 female (Pastel Hypo possible het Pied to a Pied possible het Hypo, and with the 3 eggs the female Pied proved to be het Hypo!!!) and so I paired him with his 1 female for 3 days, then took him out for his 4 days of rest and gave him an additional week of rest at least (sometimes 2 weeks off). That way I did not pair him too often to the same female. It is a lot easier to stick to a schedule and trust the snakes to do what they were designed to do, reproduce.
