Males tend to be smaller than females averaging around 3 1/2- 4 feet long and around 1500 to 2000 grams. Obviously there are some variations of small males and much larger males. In captivity obviously we have got to the point where they are living so much longer that they can grow quite a bit bigger. Hope this helps
I just got a ball python today that's at least 4 foot and 2300 grams. I was told it's a male but I think it's a female just from the size. He said it at least 3 years old.
If you've never used them don't try to learn yourself. You can cause some major damage. The safest method is popping but a little tricky to learn at first. Find someone that is experienced to show you what to do.
I have a 4'5" male (proven breeder) whom is 2100 gm so yours could be male or female it is on that line of maybe. I would see about getting a lesson from someone experienced perhaps a local breeder or vet.
