    Finding Feeders

Hey everyone! So, I have just become the proud owner of a beautiful Mojave male named Bagheera! According to the breeder he's about six weeks old and (for the week I've had him) has been a good eater so far. He's on live rat pups and took one very readily last Sunday.

Everything is just wonderful, but I have one problem.

I live in Corpus Christi Texas and have yet to find a reliable shop that will sell me live feeder mice. Does anyone live in or know anything about that are that can help? I would greatly appreciate it and I know Bagheera would too!

    Thanks so much

There are no breeders around here Its illegal to sell Ball Pythons and own most other pythons in this county. I had to go to San Antonio to get my little guy...

I realize you only have one snake, but you can find mail order rodent breeders online like http://www.bigcheeserodents.com/. But beware, your snake is growing all it's hard to find a breeder that will sell in increments less than 50. I have 3 baby BPs, and I bought a 50 pack of fuzzy mice over a month ago. My snakes were the perfect size for them when I got them, but now I can feed 2 or 3 to them at a time. The next bag will have to be adult mice. Also what breeder did you get your mojave from? Do they have a website or are they on the forum? I'm looking for a mojave and/or mystic too.

I would recommend that you try to convert your BP to frozen/thawed so you can buy your feeders in bulk. It makes things much easier if live isn't readily available.

Yeah, the only problem with buying in bulk is that I don't have an actual mail box so all my mail goes to the front office of my building and...I might get into trouble if I'm sending frozen mice to them lol.

I'll probably just end up buying mice individually. Its a little more expensive, but I have to go to the pet store once a week anywho to buy worms and crickets for my geckos.

I got him from AIS Reptiles. They where at a reptile show that I went to in San Antonio. They had a lot of really good looking morphs and I was lucky enough to get their last mojave of the day and, if I do say so myself though I'm a little bias, he is a very pretty boy :3
