Do you hold your Green Tree?

I'm finding out that a lot of people don't or can't hold their snake.
I've been able to handle my chondro since I purchased him and he's never struck at me.
Think I picked him up in 07. Wanted to post a poll on how many of us do or don't handle our green trees
but I don't understand what it means by "options," any ideas?

be gentle they are delicate but if you are careful and should be fine, I handle all mine. My juvvie is a bit of a spitfire but once out does great

I have two. A yearling and an adult male. The adult male can be held... the yearling is quite nippy. I usually just leave them be. I like to look at them

I had one, and did not hold it until it was a juvie to keep from hurting it. It was nippy when reaching for it, but a puppy dog outside the cage.

Yeah my guy has been great. I do have to be a little cautious if he's hungry but once he's out its all good.

I can hold both of mine with no problem, one is jumpy, but she never bites. Other doesn't have a care in the world lol.

I hold mine. In fact, he is the most calm and most personal snake I own. He will wrap around my wrist or neck and just chill for hours at a time and will not leave me. I adore my boas and they are wonderfully tame and have great personalities, but they come out and usually want to explore and investigate. My GTP is content to just be with me.

I have found that most GTPs are actually quite handleable if worked with gently, consistently, and respectfully.

I will not, however, put my hand in Hunter's cage after lights out. GTPs have very strong feeding responses and, as night hunters, they will hit anything that moves after dark.

I take my guy out day and night. But I do notice he shoots straight towards the opening at night as if expecting food. So I let him come out on his own then grab him.

I actually handled my GTP before I even bought him because I wasn't willing to own a snake I couldn't hold, just doesn't make sense to me.

Mine is pretty new to my collection, but he was handled by the previous owner, and I will offer the same handling as he allows. It is highly rec. though not to handle a GTP less than a year old due to their delicate nature.
