How often does your bp climb up its cage?
My ball python loves to climb up the side of the cage, onetime he got out, but just stayed their on top of the cage, and the drop is how big it is for him to crawl out, so he really likes it for some reason, almost everytime i put him in the cage he goes in the hide then 1 minute later he tries to climb back up again, its kind of funny

Is there a lid on the cage...?
I have mine in a rack so no climbing or escapes here.

Mine do that all the time but they cant get out. I usually take them out and let them crawl around a bit and they usually settle back down.

I've got one female about 4 months old that I catch up on her plants and/or tree in her terrarium almost everyday. She's always exploring. My male spider is in a tub and he is out and about cruising everytime I come in the room. It's like he only sleeps when I do.

Re: How often does your bp climb up its cage?
Ours only seems to do it when she's hungry or stressed. (or so thats what I was told early on & seems true for our BP) I thought it was cute she was crawling all over and she was more interesting to watch. LOL But once I realized she had been under fed by the pet store and was hungry, she settled down more. Plus finding hides she really liked. (now im trying to break her from one she's outgrown- she addicted to that thing! lol)
We did a big cleaning of her tank this weekend, and I noticed when I put her back, she was more active again. But we had changed around some hides in her tank- the fake greens were still out being washed. and I think she was just "stressed" a little from the whole adventure. Plus its feeding day.
My daughter certainly wishes she was a bit more active. ha ha But i've always been told a "Happy BP- is a hiding BP"
