I was hoping I could get some advice here as I am dealing with my first feeding "strike". Here's some quick back story.

I picked up an 1430g adult male (2008) pastel at a show in late September. I set him up in a custom enclosure that is built into the wall in my living room. I gave him a week to settle in and then offered him a live small rat. Wasn't interested. I continued for four weeks offering him food every 5-7 days, which I now realize was probably too often. I then made the decision to take him out of his glass front enclosure and put him into a 41qt tub in my rack. My reasoning was, if he came from a breeder he has probably live in a tub his whole life. I let him be for two weeks, during which time he went through a shed. On day 15 (today) I offered him food again. Nothing. He smells it, shys away, sits for a few minutes and then starts crawling around looking for an exit. he is obviously stressed out by the rat.

It's only been 6 weeks and he is 4 years old so I'm not panicking, I'm just wondering what my next steps should be. It is also important to note that he did eat at some point before I got him as he passed stool on October 1st and 13th. Also, husbandry is spot on (I have 4 other healthy BPs, all are much younger, though). Sorry for the long post - thanks in advance.
