i personally don't think anything will happen. there have been SO many predictions of the world coming to an end and we're still here. i figure even if it does, there's not a darn thing i can do about it so i'm gonna go on living and enjoying my life as normal. worrying accomplishes nothing.

Looking at the Mayan calendar and saying it ends on December 21, 2012, is the exact equivalent of looking at our calendar every year and thinking it's going to end on new years eve.

December 21, 2012 is the day their calendar goes into the next baktun (one of their many measurements of time). The 13th baktun to be exact, thats right there is nothing really special, since there have been 11 other baktun changes. A baktun is a little less than 400 years, I forget the exact number. Once we have had 20 baktuns, we go into piktuns, and there are even more measurements after that, one is even the equivalent of over a million years.... I honestly don't think the Mayans were planning on the world ending if they had time measurements that were over 1 million years.

also the mayans are still around.....

So the fact is you should go out and party December 21st like it's 400 new years eves. December 21st is on a Friday, I don't see this as a coincidence.
