Trick or Treat?

So a radio on my Facebook pointed out how it seems like there's barely any children out trick or treating.

Instead of bracing the weather and dressing warm, parents are taking their kids to the mall to trick or treat.

It's now 7:03 here and we've had 5 kids...

How many have y'all had ? :p

We left out candy on the front porch and walked our kids around. We only saw 2 other groups of kids (about 3 kids each group). Seems really slow this year

We don't get trick or treaters around our house. Driveways are to long and too far apart, plus no street lights.

Well we live out in the booneys do we usually don't get a lot of kids

I know what you mean, my mom lives out in cow town and she has only got 2 trick or treaters in the past few years. (The neighbor's grandson, and the other neighbor's granddaughter lol)

We just moved to the neighborhood where I grew up back in April, not a lot of kids around any more, mostly older folks...At our hold house, suburb style, we had over 150 kids each year. It was crazy.

Well I was really disappointed. This was our 1st year living in a "neighborhood" and we got maybe a dozen groups of kids. Most weren't even dressed up and were just using plastic grocery bags! Ugh! What happened to dressing up!? What about those traditional pumpkin pails!? I didn't even go through a whole bowl of candy and I was giving each kid 2 pieces! I was so excited too...

It irritates me to no end when teens come trick or treating and their not dressed up. I give them 1 piece of candy. Dressing up, no matter the age, even if its just ragged cloths and ssome fake blood, gets you a handful. Little ones get 2 handfuls, even though I know they won't end up eating it...I just love seeing their eyes get huge and light up hehe.

My husband and I dress up every year as well when we walk the girls around. We don't try to get candy (we get enough from the girls lol) but it's fun! Halloween is my favorite holiday, dressing up is just way too awesome

Someone posted on Facebook from home saying they had about 160 kids. That is seriously surprising, since there is usually a piddly amount.

When I was a kid was the time when people would get hundreds of kids at their door. But it seems like everyone from my neighborhood is my age now and there's a way less amoutn of younger kids.
