What's some tips and advice if you have used a shelf like that ? I have something similar to this model, I'm going for a 41 qt tub for my adults.

Ive seen people use these before. I think theres a youtube video on them too. They put something on the underside to keep snakes in there bins. I think this is the exact rack your trying to use.....

When you see what he had to buy I worked out I could have got the melamine for about the same price.

This is very true. I have made two of the plastic racks, each hold 9 41q or 18 28q. They run me about $135 Each (mine cost a bit more because than the original design because I put masonite on both sides as I found when small snakes get loose they head into these slots and then you have to cut things apart) I went this way as I prefer the fraction of the weight as melamine, and it seems that, while I gave the slots on my melamine racks plenty of gap, they still swelled/sagged to the point where they get stuck. Guess it is all just a matter of preference and the individual situation, as the plastic ones would not be as well suited for a non heated room.
