Silly question.
I am new to the whole world of snakes. I have 2 ball pythons. One is a baby yet. We know when she hatched. However, our male, whom we rescued, age is unknown. Is there a way of estimating how old he could be? The guy thinks he might be 3 years old. I realize there is no way to determine exact age, but would be nice to estimate how old he might be. He is a little over 4 ft and weighs 1850 grams.

Hm, he's probably about 3 years.. ball pythons stop growing noticably at about 2-3 years.

At 1850 grams, are you sure he is a he? I mean, it's not unheard of for males to get that big, but that's a big boy if it is one...
But yes, as you've said, it's almost impossible to determine the age of an adult ball python. Yes, their growth does typically slow WAY down when they hit 2-3 years of age, but that's just saying that he's at least 2-3 years old. If the person you got him from doesn't know, he could be anywhere from 3 to 20 years old...

Does he eat mice or rats?
I mean, If he's eating rats, he'd be getting bigger than a strictly mouser.
My male mouser is just over 1000g an he's two and a half.

You really have no way of knowing how old he is, except that he is an "adult/full grown". And I have a male that is approximately 6, that is 2142 grams, as of 10/9 so they can get that size.

He eats medium sized rats. My friend actually got the snake for me from some breeder that rescued him. He had no interest in the snake (had him for a year) and he referred to him as a him.
Thanks for the input guys.
