Poss. DH Caramel Clown.. Should I?

Outback Reptiles just posted a 900+ gram female Poss. DH Clown/Caramel on kingsnakes classifieds..

Seriously thinking about picking her up. If she proves out as Clown, that would seriously jumpstart my clown project.

Would you take the risk? Or go the safe route and hold out for sub 100% female hets?

It depends on how much the Pos DH is going for. Personally I lilke to know for a fact that a snake is 100% het for something. What are they asking?

$300. Its more than I want to risk, but shes close to breeding size.

How many het caramels and het clowns do you reckon a major breeder like 'Outback' have hatched?
do you think (with their experience) they'd be able to pick out the 100% hets from a poss het litter?
would they be selling (what they think is) a 100% DH for $300?

Those would be the sort of questions i'd be asking myself

Been asking myself that same line of questions for hours. Wouldnt even think about it if I could find a sub adult 100% het. All I can find are babies and need a female that will be ready by next season or earlier.
