What do you think of this pastel

What do you think of this pastels coloration? Does it look like she will brown out much?

Any brown you see will be brown and stay brown, the yellow that doesn't have brown spots will remain yellow.
I'd say it will stay nice and bright

Re: What do you think of this pastel

she is being sold as a pastel 100% het pied. I would like to breed her to my pied male but I want to make sure she is a quality animal in order to get some really nice offspring. You think she is worth $450 shipped w/those genetics and her coloration?

If she comes from a reputable breeder who is willing to back up the snake with a guarantee of genetics.

$450 seems a bit high though, unless she has some weight to her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was het pied. I actually scrolled down to comment "Her pattern is really sweet, I'd pick her up!", then I read that you said she is supposed to be het pied.

How big is she? As previously stated 450 seems a bit high unless she has a nice amount of weight on her. Also knowing the age will help to determine if she will brown out, most pastels brown out but it depends on to what degree. Younger pastels are usually brighter and brown with age so knowing the age and weight would help out determining if she will brown. My guess is that she won't brown out all that much, she is nice looking.

Re: What do you think of this pastel

she is a 2012 hatchling, not sure about the weight. I actually thought her price isnt bad, Ive seen breeders selling pastel het pied females for $800.

Usually if a female is going for 800 it would be very close if not at breeding size. Don't get me wrong, 450 isn't horrible but it's a tad high. What it really comes down to is if you like her and what you want to do with her. If its worth the price to you then by all means do it, she is pretty and het pieds are always good to have.

I think $450 shipped is very reasonable for her. The only thing close I could find on KS or Fauna was a 2011 for $750+shipping (no weight listed). She's a very nice looking girl.
