My 0.1 Spider is a nutcase....

My big 1900g female Spider is running all over tail wagging and pinning down my poor little 800g 1.0 Lesser. She now has his neck and tail pinned down. I think he's fearing for his life, or at least his virginity... LOL.

I put on some Dave Matthews "Crash" for her to help settle her down a bit. We'll see if this tactic works.

Been there done that! My Black Pastel female went a little crazy last year with my yellowbelly male. It eventually worked out just fine.

Is that what a bigger female will do? Pin down te male?

That sounds similar to what mine were doin. 2100g normal with my 1000g super pastel

Haha! I came in to the snake room to see if they were still locked one time and I swear my male spinnerblast had escaped! I was about to freak out when I saw his tail protruding out from under her and I lifted all 3100g (at the time; shes a little over 3200 now) off of my 830g spinnerblast! Haha! The look he gave me said "thanks bro!" hahahaha!

It's always good to have an aggressive breeder. Makes things easier and interesting to watch their behaviors. I had my big Mojave female go nuts by wagging her tail and scent glands protruding out when I paired my Mystic with her. Fun stuff and good luck with the pairing. :-)

Yes, if they do not want to breed they do one of two things.
They'll sit on him or they'll curl up in the corner with their tails tucked in the middle of the coil.
