My 6 almost 7 year old leopard gecko. She had a bad shed on Sunday (I wasn't home for most of the weekend and came back after she shed). I noticed that her right eye was closed while the other was open, this has never happened before. I took her out of her tank and noticed she had a piece of stuck shed on her eye. I immediately put her in a container with wet paper towels and wet her repeatedly for about 20 min. I then got a q-tip, wet it with water and softly passed it over her closed eyelid. After I did that for about 10 min I got a pair of tweezers, held on to the very tip of the extra piece of shed that was protruding from her eye and it came right off. Since then she has been able to open that eye when she hunts or when I put her close to the light but other than that it is closed. There are no other secretions coming out, no crust, but her eye is a bit more watery than her other eye. Can anyone tell me something I can use to flush her eye(to get rid of some particles I might not be able to see clearly)? I sent an email to an exotic vet in my area to see if they tell me something I can do before taking her over if it turns out to be something more serious than just a little something irritating her eye.
