Well, today the kids and I went to get feeders like we do every week for feeding day. We picked up 8 mice and 5 rats. We got home and fed off all the mice to the smaller guys and as I went to get the rats, I noticed my son hovering over the rat box. I cut it open and weighed and fed off the 2 all whit ones but as I went to get the others to feed off my son started screaming and crying. He said those were cute and didn't want them to be fed to the snakes. The only snake that hadn't eaten is the mojave so I asked if I could feed the snake the all black one and he said "no, thats my favorite." He also said that about both of the others. I was considering keeping the other two anyways to start a colony but I had every intention of feeding off the all black one. So nedless to say, the mojave is still hungry, we will be making another trip to the store tomorrow for another all white one and we now have 3 new furry friends to add to our collection! He even named the all black one Lucky. He's only 5 btw and usually has absolutly no problem feeding off the rats because he usually doesn't like them!
Here are the lucky 3: (They are actually starting to grow on me!)
