    New member alert!

    Hello all!

I am new to the snake world. I never had any interest in owning any type of reptile. Up until recently, I never held a snake in my life. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted a ball python. He received it free from some breeder that had him for a year. I guess he rescued him from someone else. Not sure what possessed me, but I told him that I wanted him. Now trying to convince my husband (IanL) to having a snake was a little difficult. He had no interest in owning one. I pretty much begged him. Told him it could be an early birthday present. He said that If I wanted one I could go ahead and get one. Well to make a long story short husband fell in love with Morpheus. He did everything he needed to and then some to make sure Morpheus had the best habitat possible. We have added to the collection. We now have 2 ball pythons. ha ha.....I guess the addiction begins?

Our male is Morpheus. We think he's about 3 years old. About 4.5 feet long. Our newest addition is a female, Ali'i (Hawaiian for royal). She is 3 weeks old. Both are very sweet (strange describing a snake as sweet).

Addictive is right. We find ourselves looking at tubs to use for racks. Then we snap out of it and convince ourselves "only 2...we are good with 2" It's like having a devil/angel on our shoulders.
