Some more experienced keepers will chime in, but I know that my female only lost 100g from when she started breeding to right after she laid. She became an eating MACHINE when she started locking, and I just fed her up as much as she wanted, so she gained lots of weight, and gave me 8 big eggs.
How old is your female? Age matters more than weight, but 1800g sounds alright, as long as she is not visibly underweight.
I don't think I've heard of keeping babies in the incubator for the 10 days or so it takes to shed, but I have heard people leave them for 2-3 days. I took mine out as soon as I saw them out of the egg.
Babies are usually separated after they shed, again, everyone is different. I set mine up individually out of the egg.
