Working at the zoo (with several types of animals) we had an RTB, 2 cali kings, 2 desert kings, and 2 ball pythons. I had always liked snakes, but had never worked with them as my parents don't care for them. Instantly upon working with them, I fell in love with the BPs. I love their size - not too big, but not twiggy, their patterns and colors, their sweet disposition and tendencies to just chill out with you. Compared to corns, which I also love, they need more specific care but are still fairly easy to keep.

That zoo collection was also responsible for my adoration of blue tongue and prehensile tail skinks, chuckwallas, tortoises, leo and fat tail geckos, chinchillas, hedgehogs, and guinea pigs.
