Loose Stool's
Recently a couple of my Royal's have experienced loose stools, I have taken a sample to be analysed for internal parasites and it has come back negative! Does anybody have any idea as to what else may be causing the problem, or of I should be concerned?

How loose, and do you have any pictures?

There not watery or anything like that, there like the urine has wet them and made them runny, it looks like the consistency of runny honey! Sorry though no pics!

Did the vet run bacterial screens? I would ask especially as a few snakes have the same issue. I would also look to my rodent supply and perhaps try a new supplier for a few months and see if it clears up. Check the temps especially the ambient air temp it should be at or near 80ºF.

Thanks kitedemon, air temps are all fine and rodent supply only changed once about a month ago when my regular supplier was out, so that may be the problem! Unfortunately I'm not sure what the vets tested for exactly apart from I asked them to check for all parasites!

Parasites are a possibility for loose stool but it could be nothing or it could be more serious. I would make sure the humidity is correct and that there is water, always. Keep a close eye on it, any sign of change go back to the vet. If you have a good relationship with your vet it might be worth a phone call so she/he knows what is up and what you are doing. I would make sure to weigh the animal as well and keep a close tab on weights. It could even be worth if you feed F/T to use a small syringe and add a little (1ml or two) of filtered water to the rat. I just poke it down the maw of the thawed rat and feed to a dehydrated snake. I guess make sure the snake does not become dehydrated.

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of nothing, humidity is fine, never had a bad shed, all are eating like champs once a week, some twice and are all gaining weight and growing nicely! Unfortunately I don't have that good a relationship with my vet purely cause I've only used them once before since I've had royals! I'll be sure to monitor the situation though!
